Niagara’s Fury, the 4D Ice Age simulation at Table Rock Centre, permanently closed on September 2, 2024. If you are searching for it, here is what you need to know: the experience is gone, but what replaced it is better.

Looking for the current Table Rock experience?

Niagara Takes Flight opened in Fury’s former space in August 2025: a flying theatre that lifts you over the falls with motion, wind and aerial film. It runs year-round and is easy to add during the free time on our Niagara Falls Day Tour from Toronto (from CA$99, skip-the-line boat packages from CA$159).

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour start time. 15,000+ online reviews.

    What Niagara’s Fury was

For 16 years, Niagara’s Fury told the story of the falls’ formation in a 360-degree theatre: an animated pre-show, then a main experience with motion platforms, mist, wind, snow and a temperature drop that simulated the last Ice Age. It was a solid rainy-day pick and a winter staple when the boats stopped running.

    What stands there now

Niagara Takes Flight (CA$33 adult / CA$21.50 child, ages 3-12, + HST) is a suspended flying theatre built by Niagara Parks with Brogent Technologies, the company behind similar rides worldwide. You are lifted in front of a huge screen and flown over the Horseshoe Falls, the gorge and the region, with the seats moving in sync with aerial footage. It opened in late August 2025 to sold-out crowds and runs year-round at Table Rock Centre, steps from Journey Behind the Falls.

Planning a visit around Table Rock

Table Rock Centre sits at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls and holds Journey Behind the Falls, Niagara Takes Flight and the main viewing plaza. If you are coming from Toronto, our day tour gives you 3 to 4 hours of free time, enough for Takes Flight plus the falls viewpoints. In winter, Takes Flight or the Niagara Parks Power Station and Tunnel substitute for the boat cruise on some Queen Tour packages.
