Ride a helicopter over Toronto – $280
If you want to wow your partner, consider surprising them with a helicopter ride over Toronto. With the CN Tower and other skyscrapers in the backdrop, this is sure to be a romantic and incredible experience. You’ll get to see the city from a unique perspective and if you time it right, you might even be able to catch a sunset. A helicopter ride over the city is usually around 7 minutes long. It will be exhilarating, especially if one or both of you haven’t been on a helicopter before.
Go on the CN Tower EdgeWalk – $400 – 500
Imagine walking on the edge of one of the world’s tallest skyscrapers – that’s exactly what the CN Tower EdgeWalk offers. This experience isn’t for everyone, but if your partner likes thrills and adrenaline rushes, they’ll love this. You walk around near the top edge of the tower – with nothing but air below you. Of course, you’ll be fully secured, but that won’t stop the heart from beating quickly as you look below. Especially when you’re leaning off the edge! This is a Toronto must-do and is one of the most unique experiences in the city. The photos will be amazing.
Dine at Canoe Restaurant overlooking the city – $200 – 400+
Canoe Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Toronto. It’s located in the TD Center, right at the top of one of Toronto’s largest skyscrapers, so you’ll be overlooking the city. The menu is seasonal but you can count on the food being fresh and locally sourced – and it’s guaranteed to be delicious. You’ll be able to choose from the regular menu or the tasting menu. Canoe Restaurant is also 5 minutes walking distance from the Fairmont Royal York Toronto hotel, so you could head over there for some drinks in a classy environment afterwards.
Fall in love with furry friends at the African Lion Safari – $100
Just outside of the city is the African Lion Safari, where you can wander around and get up close to tons of animals. As a bonus, there are some pretty good photo opportunities – cute animals in the background are crowd pleasers! It’s about an hour and a half drive from Toronto but it’s worth seeing. You can drive through the safari and some areas allow you to go out and explore on foot.
Jet ski along Toronto’s harbourfront – $400
Consider renting a jet ski for an hour or two for an adventure through Lake Ontario. You can rent from one of several jet ski companies near the harbourfront and they will show you how to handle the watercraft if it’s your first time. You’ll be able to jet ski by the beaches, Scarborough Bluffs and other cool areas. This is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
